The deadline for Arranging has been pushed back by 1 week. Oh baby!


After the ordeal of the laptop incident, one problem was that I need extra time to finish up my work.

And now it has been pushed back! This is really so good. So good that I'm speechless.




Nevertheless, its time to finish up my work now. GO FOR IT!

*phew



Guess what happened to my laptop? It broke. No way to get hard drive. No way to get my work. I'm quitting DMAT.




I'm kidding. Hard drive has been successfully extracted. The data are being transferred to my desktop now.




I've forgot to mention: I've just ordered a brand new macbook pro! Mainly its because i figured i need a new one sooner or later. And its a perfect time for now. It should be here by tomorrow!



Now we shall wait for the transfer to be finish. Thank God!

Now here's the update of my precious laptop:



1) Apple Care just finished studying my laptop
2) And its the logicboard issue. (Motherboard)
3) Need some fixing? $1000>, please.
4) I said no, its too expensive





So, there's only one way.
And there's only one man, with one desire to save the macbook.


I will attempt to dismantle the macbook and retrieve the Hard drive out.

And plug it into my another windows Desktop.


PS: Dismantling a Macbook requires a screwdriver. Not Allen keys.

OH NO. My macbook pro just died on me.



Can't even switch on. And all my work are all INSIDE!

This must be joke. But its not.



I really should have backup my data. But its too late now..


So, I will just give it to the Apple care centre and HOPEFULLY, they can fix my com. Deadline is coming in about a week's time. This has to be solved!



Wish me tremendous amount of luck. Like about 15 kg.

*phew, I've something to share. Its a good news.






50.4% OF MY SONG WERE DONE.



It really requires so much determinations and perseverance. So much. The days when I was busy inputting the appropriate expression and tidying up the notes, it was hell. Literally.


Am I giving up? No! I'm just describing the sheer power of satisfaction one could feel after finished HALF of a song. I really need to reward myself with....


some sleep. To do more transcribing.



At least I have done so much. At least I have finished my vocal score. Take a look.

No, its transcribing. The most-hated thing to do in your life. And mine as well.



Whoa, I didn't realised there are so many things to learn in Finale. I'm like a baby trying to learn how to use an iphone.


So many things. So many ways. Luckily, I have my good friend, Mr Elliot Ong, to help me!

Right now, I've already finished some parts of the song. Well, of course there's still a lot of things to finish.




And there are so many tools: Expression tools, staff tools, rest toolbox, lyrics tools, time signature tools, key signature tools, slurs, and etc.


Sooner or later, I will still have to do this assignment. So why not finish it now!

Oh yes! Finally finished with arranging and stuffs and EVERYTHING.

well, not everything. I still left vocals for chorus. But other than that, its all done.



And yes, I'm talking about my cover song. Wo Bu Pei by Mr Jay chou?



So.....

I'm gonna start on my transcribing. Hopefully would be able to finish everything within the Term break.


Also,

I've managed to composed and arranged my POD 1. YAY !

Everybody, I've done all of those instruments analysis.


It is time for mixing!



Well, I figured that I shall finish my REMT's side of the cover song first. And then move on to the Arranging's side.


Why? Because I can then export the session as midi, and put it in to Finale. By then, so much work would be saved!


Honestly, I have been listening to the song for non-stop. Every single day. *phew



And I think I need a break for my ear. Before they bleed.
